Will AI help take fashion to the next level, or be a disaster for humans?

As someone largely who works largely in the creative side of the fashion business, I've been intrigued by the potential of AI, and have been impressed by some of what I've seen, but like many people, also have a few reservations about it taking my job!

But AI like all technological breakthroughs, is not all sweet smelling roses. In fact the energy demands are substantial, and environment cost of running AI factories is astronomical. They are becoming a major contributor to global warming... enough to kill hillsides of roses.

True AI can speed up repetitive tasks, and perhaps workflows, and some make a claim that it can reduce waste by more accurately predicting trends.

We have also seen how it's use can lead to creative homogenization. Products may not match glossy AI generated imagery, and worse, it's use can displace jobs and people. As if working in fashion wasn't tenuous enough already.

I believe it should be viewed as a tool for augmenting our creativity, not replacing it.
